My funny Valentine…Salon Greco Boudoir Shoot!

Sunday Funday! I arrived at Salon Greco in Suwannee on Sunday to do an all-day photo shoot with lots of ladies Cupcakes, candy, and candids, my faves! We started shooting at noon, after the girls were prepped with amazing hair & makeup by Salon Greco. I have to give a shout out to Ryan for helping big time! (Thanks for the Windex runs and thinking of things we forgot, in general…lol). Anyhoo, check out the delish desserts that decked out the entrance to the salon…oh yeah and a few “previews” as best as I can post on a blog. I had so much fun at this hot mess of a creek yesterday. Angie was a GREAT sport, jumped right in and let me tell her what to do. We tried not to think about the possible snakes and icky creatures while we waded in the creek and stepped on rocks. Here’s some pics, beautiful girl…enjoy!

Anyways, just wanted to post my top 10 mistakes that brides make when booking a wedding photographer and to announce the winner of the boudoir session. If you grabbed a boudoir card off my table, you have a number on the back of it. AND THE WINNER IS…NUMBER 004! Email me within 2 days to claim your prize. OK, here’s the Top 10 Mistakes Brides Make When Booking a Wedding Photographer:

10. Asking a friend or relative to do the photos instead of hiring a professional.

9. Not communicating exactly what you want and what you expect on your big day and ending up getting something you totally don’t love.

8. Hiring a large company that shows you examples of their best photographers yet gives you someone of a lesser quality on your big day.

7. Accepting the pre-packaged photographer from your hotel or other venue that comes “included” in your package.

6. Not asking questions or trying to negotiate packages. Photographers will create packages especially for your needs and budget.

5. Not looking at other samples beyond websites and ads, and not asking for references.

4. Not meeting up with your photographer prior to booking them to judge your chemistry.

3. Not testing out your photographer by booking an engagement session before your wedding.

2. Not investing 15-20% of your wedding budget into your photography. It’s the only thing you have after your one big day is over, so make sure you skip those custom napkins if you have to in order to afford the photographer you like.

And finally…

1. Waiting until the last minute! Your photos are the most important part of your day because you will spend all day with your photographer and you will cherish these memories forever! Make it a priority so you reserve your date with the photographer of your choice!

What a sweet family! I shot a few generations in Tribble Mill Park this morning…what a beautiful family Started off with great weather and thank goodness the rain never came. We played with geese, climbed on fences, and jumped up in the air! I love seeing a large family that is so close…here’s a preview of their pics. Enjoy!

What a unique venue! The Kalin Art Gallery was an amazing place to have a special occasion. Nice clean, open spaces and awesome colorful art to decorate your event! An amazing backdrop for a youthful group of teenagers to dance the night away Marin, her friends, and her family joined together to celebrate her birthday and, boy, did they have fun! Tope’ Harris Graduation Dinner ~ 5.22.10

Originally from FL, I don’t normally go to seafood restaurants here in Atlanta…I’m sure you can figure out why! But let me tell you, Pappadeaux looked AMAZING! As I walked into the beautiful brick building in Marietta on a gorgeous summer evening, I was immediately greeted by live lobsters and Hennessey coladas (which I regret not trying…both.) Soon Tope’ and her family came in, fresh from graduation, decked out in full cap & gown. How proud the look in the eyes of her family & boyfriend! I love watching people truly happy! Thanks for being such gracious hosts and giving friendly hugs I will be glad to photograph anything for you in the future! Sweet family. Enjoy your preview of this momentous occasion!
